Volunteer online with Reading Partners

Make a difference from the comfort of your own home.
Are you ready to help a student become a lifelong reader and learner? Reading Partners is seeking online volunteer tutors for the 2025-26 school year to provide high-quality virtual learning opportunities to young students across the United States.

Volunteer requirements

  • Age: You must be 14 or older.
  • Time commitment: Commit a little over an hour per week. We welcome more.
  • Weekday volunteer times available: Choose the time that works best for you. Volunteering generally takes place M-Th, during business hours.
  • Technology: You must have access to a laptop or desktop computer with reliable wifi.
  • Training: Complete the required tutor orientation.
  • Screening: Volunteers must complete regional clearance requirements including a background check.
  • Location: You must reside in the United States.
