Expanding literacy access in North Texas
Reading Partners has been a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) educational landscape since 2012, when we launched our program at two elementary schools in Dallas ISD, serving 80 students. Since then, weâve placed thousands of community volunteers in systemically-disadvantaged school communities to help kids master basic reading skills.

âWhile tutoring a first grade student who is thriving within this program, she said something that caused me to inquire what was her favorite part of school. She paused, gave it some thought and replied, âWell, coming here is pretty precious.â It made me realize that just the one-to-one attention a Reading Partners tutoring session provides is, in and of itself, a gift to students. Her comment was certainly a gift to me.â
